It's Already HOT in Atlanta!

I know it's June but boy is it hot here this week!

I was out in the garden for a little while pulling some weeds and planting a couple hostas my sister gave me and 2 begonias that I bought and "forgot" to plant. I hope we have a popup thunderstorm today because everything is getting dry again.

I am going to use this blog to focus on gardening. Tips, photos, inspiration, events, etc. I have a scrapbooking blog also but thought I needed one for my other passion.

I love being in the garden with dirt under my fingernails just "putsing" around... I know I get that from my grandmother as she could make anything grow. Her house didn't have a yard just a little plot of dirt right by her steps (couldn't have been more than 3'x6') but she had pots everywhere on her porches, in the house, and they were all growing like gangbusters.

I've had success and failure with different plants. I still have a hard time propogating Hydrangeas by just breaking them off and sticking them in the groud..... but we each have our ways of doing things in life and the garden is no different. Sure there are right and wrong ways of doing things but they grey a little into my way and your way.
